Prayer of the Morning: Embodied Sound Practices for a Diasporist Davening
With Hadar Ahuvia and Tatyana Tenenbaum
This workshop has ended. This form is now closed.
Ahuvia and Tenenbaum (NYC/Lenapehoking) are interdisciplinary performance makers who have been supporting each other’s work since 2014. We invite you to a collaborative minyan to share our practices - liturgy, niggun, folk song, vibrational mapping, embodied phonetic and textual play, and original compositions we have written to hold space for joy, mourning, reflection and reckoning. We are endeavoring toward an anti-colonial Jewish culture through bold sonic renderings of our future bodies. This workshop is open to all.
This workshop is part of the New Jewish Culture Fellowship of Brooklyn Jews, which is generously supported by UJA/Federation of New York.
