 Altshul Membership

Thank you for your interest in getting involved with Altshul! As an independent, volunteer-run minyan, we rely on the generosity and efforts of our community.

We welcome anyone who joins us for Shabbat or holiday services as part of our community. We hope community members will consider supporting Altshul by joining as an official member, which entails:
1) volunteering twice per Jewish calendar year and
2) making an annual financial contribution.

As an Altshul member, you will be furthering our vibrant community, dedicated to prayer, learning and gathering. You will also be supporting our capacity to provide services and programming, as well as helping to shape our community. Altshul membership includes certain privileges, including:

  • The right to vote at annual and special meetings, including electing members of the Leadership Team;
  • Guaranteed seats at Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services for all members of your household who register for tickets in advance;
  • Priority access to seats for your guests at Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services.
  • Altshul support for lifecycle events including B’nai Mitzvah in accordance with Altshul policy
  • Ability to rent Congregation Beth Elohim spaces for life cycle events including B’nai Mitzvah of children in any member household, subject to Altshul policy.
