Setting up and Greeting: Shabbat and holiday volunteers make sure our siddurim are set up for services and offer a friendly face and a welcoming greeting to everyone as they arrive.Community Building: Join a team charged with helping to make Altshul more welcoming and building community. Help plan social events, shabbat meal matching, learning events, tikkun olam projects, and other initiatives to help build connections.Kiddush Sponsorship: Celebrate a milestone or honor an important date by sponsoring Kiddush. Sponsoring kiddush at Altshul means buying or making food, getting everything to CBE, setting up, and helping to clean up and take home leftovers afterwardKids and Youth: Help us improve our offerings for kids of all ages! We could use assistance creating programs for grade school kids, tweens and teens, including coordinating a Junior minyan for pre-b’mitzvah kids who have aged out of Kindershul.Admin and Communication: Help us communicate better with the community - this can include helping with our Mailchimp newsletter, reviving our social media feeds, creating a WhatsApp, or any other helpful and creative ideas you may have.High Holidays - Helping to coordinate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services, or volunteering to help during these services as a greeter, page turner, usher, etc. If you will be joining Altshul for these holidays, this is a great way to help!Coordination - Longer term roles to support all the other volunteers! Opportunities include Kiddush Coordinator, Setup/Greeting Coordinator, Communications Coordinator, Kids/Youth Coordinator, Lifecycle Coordinator.Coffee bar: Provide and set-up our cold brew bar for a Shabbat morning!

Altshul endeavors to be an inclusive community, and we do not want finances to be a barrier to membership. For those on a limited income or experiencing financial hardship, our suggested minimum donation is $72. If you have questions or need additional support, please contact leadership@altshul.org
