All members of Altshul are required to volunteer their time to Altshul each year, and to make an annual financial contribution.

There are many ways to volunteer at Altshul and they are all VERY MUCH needed and appreciated! Please select at least one area in which you can help, and you will hear from us throughout the year about opportunities to contribute:

Shabbat/Holiday - Opportunities include greeting people, help with set-up of services or kiddush, sponsoring kiddush.Youth and Kids- Opportunities include helping to plan/organize kids programming, taking a shift watching kids during holidays or other times, setting up social events for kids and families.Community Opportunities - Opportunities include planning community events, coordinating tikkun olam projects, coordinating meal matching, assisting with lifecycle support (bringing meals to people going through a transition or challenge, etc.)High Holidays - Helping to coordinate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services, or volunteering to help during these services as a greeter, page turner, usher, etc. If you will be joining Altshul for these holidays, this is a great way to help!Communications and Admin - Opportunities include help with: emails, newsletter, social media, website, calendarCoordination - Longer term roles to support all the other volunteers! Opportunities include Kiddush Coordinator, Setup/Greeting Coordinator, Communications Coordinator, Kids/Youth Coordinator, Lifecycle Coordinator.

As has always been the case, we do not want Altshul participation to be financially burdensome. For folks on limited incomes, students, retired people and others, we are suggesting a $72 donation as a minimum contribution for membership.

Please consider supporting Altshul with an additional contribution. Suggested amount is $180, and any amount is appreciated.
