Sacred Court Support: Immigrant Accompaniment Volunteer Training
Monday, September 15 at 6:30 p.m.
CBE Ballroom, 274 Garfield Place, Brooklyn
Have you been looking for a meaningful way to support our NYC immigrant neighbors? Join Sacred Court Support, an interfaith immigration court accompaniment program led by our friends at HIAS-NY, B’nai Jeshurun, the Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew, and Co-Counsel NYC. Through this initiative, volunteers accompany immigrant community members to their court hearings, offering a powerful presence of solidarity and support in a system that is often isolating and dehumanizing.
Join fellow CBE members and clergy, along with community members from across Brooklyn, to be trained as a volunteer in this urgently needed work. And please note that volunteer shifts typically take place during weekday mornings. Thank you for standing in solidarity with NYC’s immigrant communities.
We have reached maximum capacity for this program. Registration has closed. Please email info@cbebk.org to get on the waitlist.
