Oneg and Kiddush Sponsorship

Kiddush sponsorship supports CBE's ability to provide Kiddush for all members. 

We gratefully acknowledge sponsors in CBE This Week, our weekly Shabbat email, in the Saturday Shabbat program, in the Shir L’ Shabbat email (when appropriate), and during service announcements.

For all of the following options, a donation of $360 is suggested for the standard Kiddush, which includes:

• Friday nights: We kick off Shabbat in our Temple House lobby at 6 p.m. with a Jewish Happy Hour before services — a rotating assortment of savory treats along with wine and alcoholic beverages. Following Kabbalat Shabbat services in the chapel, we return to the lobby to say kiddush and motzi with wine, juice, cookies and challah.
  • A sponsorship of $540 or above supports a larger spread.
• Saturday mornings: We conclude services in the Sanctuary with challah, cookies, juice, and bourbon.
  • A sponsorship of $720 or above supports the addition of two trays of sliced bagels pre-spread with cream cheese, to be served after services to all. To ensure bagel delivery, sponsorships at this level must be made by the Tuesday before the Shabbat sponsored.
• Shir L’Shabbat: We conclude our weekly Saturday morning sing-along gathering for children 5 and under with a kiddush of juice and challah.

Multiple community members are welcome to sponsor the same kiddush.
